Kneaders Bakery-Breakfast!

This morning I decided it was time for me to try breakfast at Kneaders Bakery, and it was delicious! Breakfast is served daily at Kneaders Bakery from 7:00-11:00 AM. I have have always heard that Kneaders' french toast is amazing, so I needed to try it out for myself, and I definitely agree! Each order of french toast comes with 2 huge pieces of mouth-watering Cinnamon French Toast, strawberries, fluffy whipped cream, and cinnamon syrup. And if that is not enough for you, each order of French Toast is endless so you can go back for as many servings as you want without any additional cost! Kneaders is a very popular restaurant for breakfast, so if you are planning on going, be aware that you might have to wait a few minutes for a table or to get your food. I was impressed though that although the restaurant was very busy and there were a lot of people there in the morning, we only had to wait about five minutes for our food-the staff was well prepared for the crowd!
Kneaders Bakery also has a large lunch menu including, salads, soups, and of course sandwiches baked on fresh specialty breads. Kneaders is also a great place to go to satisfy your sweet tooth. Kneaders has plenty of fresh baked specialty deserts including cookies, muffins, cheesecakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, eclaires, and fruit tarts.
I really enjoyed my breakfast at Kneaders-if you haven't tried it everyone definitely should!

Guru's

Ever since moving to Provo, I have always heard people talking about Guru's but until now I have never had a chance to try it! Guru's cafe is a small restaurant located on historical center street in Provo, giving it a fun and distinguished atmosphere. Guru's menu has something for everyone on it; Guru's serves a variety of food including salads, soups, wraps, tacos, burritos, pastas, teriyaki bowls and vegetarian meals. They also serve delicious breakfasts including pancakes, french toast, breakfast burritos. I decided to try Taos Tortilla Salad. I thought that it was very good; the vegetables were fresh, and everything tasted very good. I liked the option of choosing a half size salad, it is perfect for a light meal!
Guru's is reasonably priced, but it is more expensive than some of the other places that I have been to around Provo. My half salad was $6.00. But I think that the quality of food makes it worth the price!
To see more of Guru's menu and read more about it, you can go to their website at:

Lunch Time-Sensuous Sandwich

I tried out a great new place for lunch this week! It is a little sandwich shop called Sensuous Sandwich. Sensuous Sandwich is a great place to go for lunch, because it makes great sandwiches, but it is more original than your everyday Subway or Blimpie. Sensuous Sandwich has a fun menu that includes sandwiches like The Stimulator, The Spicy Enticer, The Satisfier, and the Tantalizer, among others. Sensuous Sandwich is a great place to get a quick meal, there is no sitting around waiting for someone to make your food, it is ready right after you order.
Sensuous Sandwich also has a very fun atmosphere. My favorite part of the restaurant was just sitting at the table! Pasted onto each table, there are comics, jokes, “would you rather” questions, and interesting facts. These are a great way to keep you entertained while you enjoy your meal, and they provide a lot of good laughs to your experience!
Sensuous Sandwich is very reasonably priced. Depending how hungry you are, you can decide if you want a 4”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 16”, or even 24” sandwich! A 4” sandwich is just $2.69 while a 24” sandwich is $12.79.
I recommend Sensuous Sandwich to anyone who is looking for a good sandwich, but is tired of the same old Subway everyday. I thought that Sensuous Sandwich had good food, and it was a fun place to go.
Sensuous Sandwich is located at 163 W. Center Street in Provo, or also in the Burlington Coat Factory Center In Orem.

J Dawgs!

J Dawgs is a Provo favorite, that surprisingly I had never tried! So I went this week, and found that it is just as good as everyone says it is! J Dawgs is a hot dog restaurant that started out as a small shack on the corner of the street, but has recently moved into a restaurant that has a very fun atmosphere. J Dawgs is a popular place for college students to eat, as it is located right by Condo Row, and is very inexpensive. One hot dog is just $3.00! You can choose between a Polish Dawg or an all beef Dawg. There are also many toppings that you can choose from including ketchup, mustard, Saur kraut, pickle, onion, hot peppers, and special sauce. I think the special sauce is really what makes J Dawgs better than any other hot dog. J Dawgs is located at 880 N. 700 E. in Provo. It is one restaurant in Provo that everyone definitely needs to try! Even if hot dogs are not your favorite food, J Dawgs may change your mind!

Yozone Frozen Yogurt

It seems that there are more ice cream and frozen yogurt shops in Provo than in the entire state of Utah combined! So how do each of these shops stay successful and set themselves apart from all the others? My goal this week was to find a frozen yogurt shop that I thought was different from the others. So I went to YoZone, located at 1286 N Freedom Blvd. at the Alpine Village Apartments in Provo. YoZone is a self-serve yogurt shop- you get to choose how many flavors of yogurt you want how many toppings you want, how much you want, and you get to prepare it yourself!
YoZone offers many appetizing flavors of frozen yogurt including, New York Cheesecake, Raspberry, Mango, Cookies and Cream, and others. After you have chosen your flavor (or flavors) of yogurt, you get to add as many toppings as you want. The toppings available range from chocolate chips and candy bars, to Captain Crunch Cereal, to fresh fruit and nuts.
When you are done creating your treat, each serving is weighed, and you only pay .36 cents and ounce! YoZone has a bright and fun atmosphere. One of my favorite parts of the shop was that they have a T.V. hanging on the wall that displays pictures of happy customers to YoZone, and occasionally someone you know pops up on the screen! YoZone is a great place to go for an inexpensive, fun, and quick treat!

For the thirsty customer, The Cocoa Bean Café serves a variety of Italian Sodas, Steamies (specialty hot cocoa), frappes, and frozen lemonades.

Time For Dessert-Sub Zero Ice Cream

It seems that everyone in Provo loves ice cream, and there are hundreds of ice cream and frozen yogurt shops in Provo. So what sets Sub Zero apart from everyone else? Sub Zero Ice Cream provides a very unique dessert experience in the way that the ice cream is made; each serving is made from scratch right in front of you, and frozen using LIQUID NITROGEN!
Your serving of ice cream is made just how you want it, right when you order it. At Sub Zero Ice Cream, you design your own ice cream! First,You get to choose what kind of milk you want used to make your ice cream (your choices range all the way from yogurt, to custard, to 14%!). Next, you choose a flavor for your ice cream out of a long list that ranges from the classic flavors like chocolate, or if you are feeling more adventurous, you can try a flavor like Amaretto, or even Root Beer! You also get to choose what “mix-ins” you want in your ice cream, this includes things like candy bars, cookie dough, brownies, cookies, and everything else you could ever want to satisfy your sweet tooth! After all this decision making is through, you get to watch this mixture be frozen in a matter of seconds by liquid nitrogen! And last but not least…enjoy your frozen treat!
Sub Zero is very reasonably priced. The smallest size begins at $2.50, and as the sizes get bigger, the price goes up by about a dollar.
I enjoyed my experience at Sub Zero. Not only was it fun, but it was tasty as well!
